Co-created the magic and comedy group, Magically Delicious. January 2009 – Awarded the 2008 JCI Calgary Member of the Year. June 2009 – Appeared as “Mitch” in Tuesdays With Morrie produced by Fracture . September 2009 – Created Calgary’s first professional comic only open mic night, Red Carpet Comedy.
Summer 2010 – Created and ran a program to help new comedians develop in Calgary, AB. May 2010 – Wrote and performed the one-person show, Egolution. He also produced a documentary on stand-up comedy, “The Inside Joke” – all of which received rave reviews from his peers and audience members. Fall/Winter 2010 – Donovan Deschner recorded and released first comedy EP, “I’ll Regret This.”
January 2012 – Donovan Deschner appeared as “Freddy” in Picasso at the Lapin Agile produced by Morpheus Theatre. May 13, 2013 – Successfully completed 260 Minutes by performing the 52nd set of all new material in one year (five new minutes a week for a year).
