Michel started as a call center agent in 2007 in Vancouver, Canada. He learned about leadership and company culture and was promoted five times in five years. He and business partners started a hospitality company in 2016 in Toronto and the company grew to $15 million in profitable revenue and 150 employees in two years. They were profiled in Food & Wine magazine because of the company culture strategies and employee experience.
He authored a best-selling book in 2018 called People-First Culture: Build a Lasting Business by Shifting Your Focus From Profits to People.
