Bill Carr has been promoting laughter for small and large groups for more than 25 years, but his shows have a deeper message. That is to get people to consider what counts. Bill helps those attending to see their world in new ways. His blend of insight and humour inspires both consideration and laughter.
He wants people to reflect on their human nature and understand their place in the world. This is why he’s so popular for multiple day conferences. He weaves the threads of conference themes together, so they make sense to attendees.
Bill has been on stages across Canada and the world. He’s active in film with a role in The Spinster and is Judge Campbell in the second season of Diggstown on CBC. He’s received two Atlantic Journalism awards for satirical commentaries and is also known as a social commentator with CBC’s The Journal and Midday. He was also a weekly columnist with The Sunday Edition of the Daily News and the Chronical Herald. He was also a co-host on Shift for Brains on the Sheldon Macleod Show on News 95.7FM Halifax.
His volunteerism is well known as he’s the honorary trustee of the IWK Health Centre and appears every year on the IWK Children’s Hospital Telethon in partnership with CTV Atlantic. He is regularly the emcee for many charitable organizations.
