Deanna Brasseur is an unusual person with remarkable abilities. She was one of three women to earn pilot wings in the Canadian military in 1981. She became one of two female pilots in the world to fly the CF18 fighter aircraft.

Deanna was featured as an “Outstanding Canadian” in MacLean’s Magazine in 1988. She won the 1998 World Client of the Year Award for Personal Achievement and was listed in the 1999 Edition of Who’s Who in Canada.

She retired from the military in 1994 to write about her life experience and pursue motivational speaking and personal coaching for businesses using the physiology and psychology of excellence.

Retired Maj. Brasseur CM CD is used to living on the edge and has an extensive background in leadership and business. She established her business Unlimited Horizons and is a certified trainer and master practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming. She also co-authored Achieve It! A Personal Success Journal and is a contributing author to Speaking of Flying, Personal Tales of Heroism, Humor, Talent, and Terror from 44 Unique Aviators.

On February 3, 1999, at a ceremony held at Rideau Hall, Deanna Marie Brasseur was invested as a Member of the Order of Canada by His Excellency the Right Honorable Romeo LeBlanc, Governor General of Canada. Considered the keystone of the Canadian system of honors, the Order of Canada pays tribute to Canadians who exemplify the highest quality of citizenship and whose contributions enrich the lives of their contemporaries.
