Dave Nystrom found comedy while in school at Vancouver Film School taking an acting program. Originally from Thunder Bay, Dave moved to Ontario in 1994 where he saw his goal of becoming a professional comedian take root. He graduated from the film school, got an agent, and began auditioning. His first audition got him on Showtime’s Beggars and Choosers.

Dave took his stand-up global and toured the United Kingdom. He’s performed at HBO’s prestigious US Comedy and Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado. He filmed a special for Comedy Central in New York and crafted his one-hour TV special for the Canadian Comedy Network. He’s written from CBC’s This Hour has 22 Minutes and won a Canadian Comedy Award and a Writer’s Guild of Canada Award.

He also was awarded The Canadian Ministry of Comedy’s Comedian of the Year Award, The Couille D’Or.
