Leadership comes in many forms. In the family, a father is considered the leader of the home; in team sports, the captain or skipper is considered the leader of the team; while the CEO or manager is considered the leader in a company or organizations. The leaders in all three examples have something in common, which is that they guide, manage, and direct others to accomplish different tasks. In the case of the father, his work is to ensure everybody is taken care of in the family financially and otherwise. That of the captain of a team sport is to ensure the other members of his or her team effectively carry out their jobs, and the team wins every match they play. While the job of the CEO or manager is to ensure all employees do their jobs properly and the company is always making a profit.

Quick View"Inspiring” “Captivating” “Dynamic” "These were the words used to describe Olympian Jennifer Botterill after her speech to over 300 surgeons at the 69th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. You could have heard a pin drop in the room as the Canadian women’s hockey star delivered a talk on perseverance, teamwork, and following your dreams. Afterwards, the long lineup of people wanting an autograph or photo with Jennifer and her Olympic medals seemed to last forever and serves as a testament to her riveting speech and powerful impact on the audience. “When she spoke of the joy that she felt when she saw her teammates receive their gold medals after the Olympic hockey final game, I understood what it meant to be part of a real team and to lift up those around you so we can all perform at our best”. She is an accomplished speaker who graciously connects with an audience and delivers a message of teamwork, effort, and dedication. Jennifer, thank you for being a part of our meeting and inspiring our group to work together and go ‘faster, higher, stronger’.”

“Jennifer’s ability to connect her personal experiences of effort, dedication, overcoming challenges, sharing successes, and most of all working together as a team to accomplish goals and dreams was amazingly well received by our entire Franchisee network. A testament to her acceptance and appreciation was delivered in an extended standing ovation that was our group’s way of saying “Thanks!” Jennifer’s pre-presentation work, analysis and effort to ensure the parallels of her message would connect to our audience was extremely appreciated and without question, has left a meaningful impact on our Franchisee group, that many still reference to me over a year later! Her on stage presence, comfort, and pleasant demeanour are qualities that certainly enhance her excellent communication skills in a package that certainly “makes it all work”. She is one of Canada’s greatest female hockey players of all time, an accomplished professional speaker and communicator and best of all one of the most pleasant and genuine people you could ever possibly be associated with.”
