Simon T. Bailey uses motivational speeches as one way to help people discover their brilliance. He is also adept at one-on-one success coaching, has authored nine personal and professional development books, has a nationally televised talk show and a viral video with more than 90 million views.
His story starts with one of an attempted suicide at 15 and academic failure as a high school freshmen. He changed high schools and graduated as class president. He had to drop out of Morehouse College in Atlanta because his parents couldn’t afford it but also couldn’t afford to bring him home. He got his degree 10 years later.
Simon was diagnosed with cancer after his 25-year marriage ended. He beat his health issues and remarried. He said he was able to survive by shifting to a brilliance philosophy.
His career went from working for minimum wage at Days Inn to rising through the ranks of the hospitality industry with management roles at Hyatt Hotels and the Orlando Convention & Visitor Bureau. His peak came when he became Sales Director at the Walt Disney Company.
He graduated from Faith Christian University with a Summa Cum Laude master’s degree and was inducted as an honorary member of the University of Central Florida Golden Key Honor Society. He has been awarded three honorary doctorate degrees for his global impact. Recently, Cleary University, founded in 1883 by an Irish immigrant, presented him with a Doctorate of Science in Business Administration.
Simon believes life is full of comebacks and teaches others how to do it exceptionally.
